Juniper's Newborn Shoot With Photo Rikiki

So we woke up bright and early last Monday for Juniper's newborn photoshoot with Photo Rikiki! We were super excited to work with Shi Wen because we love how she captures the light in her photographs.

And it's fortunate how she shares a similar aesthetic of keeping things natural and timeless. The two buzzwords guided our moodboard for the shoot, and we decided on a clean, milk-white palette for the florals. 

Setting up our vintage hula hoop backdrop against the morning light. 

We arranged ranunculuses, spirae, freesias on a sprawling, organic base of gorgeous artificial foliage (yes, artificial!). 

Prepping the garland of leaves that would surround the baby.

And here are the lovely, light-filled results! 

Love the details on Juniper's blue dress. She usually sleeps like that after a satisfying feed! 

Shi Wen managed to capture her trademark "arms up!" sleeping pose.
